DUoÆ plays J. C. Bach: Sonate zu vier Händen A-Dur, Op.18-5

A truly heart-warming example of music 'in the home' -
or, a typical salon entertainment for the elegant soiree.

Johann Christian has quite a number of this musical lay-out - all exceedingly grateful for any lover of gallant music - be it the listener or performer.

Yuko Inoue plays C.Ph.E.Bach: Petites Pieces per il cembalo solo Wq 117

About C.Ph.E.Bach's court life, many history books told he was rather discontent. On the other hand, his music describes a different world, we can easily imagine very interesting, humorous and lively people's life from these little pieces. He must have had a lot of fun with them. Here, a selection of seven pieces from the book.
Hope you enjoy it!!

Yuko Inoue plays J. S. Bach: Capriccio B-dur, BWV 992

Bach's very early work.
When I play this piece, can't stop to think of when I left family for my study at a very young age.
My sister was only 11, brother was 8. How they felt about that unnormal happening in the family. After a few month, I went home on vacation. They were clinging around all the time, even during sleep.
Now of course too late to regret, but if I could have one more chance, I would never leave them at that early age.

(Sonata No.1, 2 violins, viola da Gamba & continuo)

"Cuckoo"

Have you ever heard "Cuckoo"?
I heard once in my life.

Two years ago, we visited a very beautiful tiny village " Lyons-la-Forêt
and stayed a few days at a little farm house.
It was really beautiful place, I loved very much.

Some evening, we took a little work in this farm.
Suddenly little sound of "Cuckoo" have started....!
At first, I thought, this might "Cuckoo clock"
But it was not time to ring, and sound carried on.

???? This might be real Cuckoo singing ?????
Yes, it was.

We didn't see a bird, but we could hear their existence.

Here, my new Video.
This is very early Bach's work. He might learn some pieces form other composer.
The end of piece, you can hear "Cuckoo". It is so quite.
Hope you enjoy it.

Yuko Inoue plays J S Bach : 24 Preludes from the Well-Tempered Clavier II

After some silence, Bach's 24 Preludes from the Well-Tempered Clavier, book two, finally became uploaded.
It had been a great temptation to do these, as well, since I had already recorded book one with fortepiano, about one month ago!

This time the preludes are played on a harpsichord - and, in french pitch. Hope you enjoy them! ;)
